To much anticipation by Philip Johnson’s strong local following, ecco bistro opened its doors in 1995, starting what has turned out to be a Brisbane landmark restaurant. Located in an historic building on the fringe of Brisbane's central business district, the century old former tea warehouse oozes with character an ambiance. Almost twenty years on, ecco underwent a total refurbishment in October of 2014, giving it a contemporary look, yet preserving the inviting, warm bistro feel that has stood the test of time.

Tucked away beneath one of Brisbane’s most iconic restaurants sits e’cco bistro’s exclusive private dining room, a contemporary function space in Brisbane suitable for a wide range of events including corporate meetings, group dining and personal celebrations.

This multipurpose Brisbane function space can accommodate groups of up to 45 people for stand-up events and 30 people for sit-down dining. Chefs Phillip Johnson & Simon Palmer have devised a stunning selection of both canapés and sit-down menus options, while custom dinners can be organized upon request.
